Year 5 and 6 dance unit

WALT:

• Perform dances from a variety of cultures
• Use dance vocabulary to describe dance
• Create simple dances using a variety of movements from different cultures and present our group dances to others.

What did you learn about how to compose a dance?

I learned that we had to make it really simple and in sequence.

What did you learn about performing a dance?

That you had to keep in time and think about others.

What dance or dances did you enjoy the most and why?

I enjoyed the sasa because you got to make your own dance.

I would rate myself as excellent because I learned all the dances very quickly.
